So here in America, it’s Thanksgiving Day. I’m about to partake of one of my favorite meals—turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, bread, Spanish olives, pumpkin pie, apple pie and butterscotch pie. I won’t need to eat again for a week. But I will—Thanksgiving leftovers are some of the best! :-)
I try to be, and am, thankful for many things all throughout the year, but, given that this is a moment of collective thanksgiving, I want to share my thankfulness for game-related things. No, not for any pixels, be they purple or gold, but for the friends I’ve made in-game, and for the good times we’ve had while playing it. I enjoy very much the different personalities of our team and I’m proud of the things we’ve accomplished together.
Thanks to you all—I hope your Thanksgiving Day is great.

Not fade away
My raid team members may remember that I left Tuesday’s Naxx 10 run early due to a pet emergency. Though things appeared to work out alright that night, it turned out to be only the beginning of a sad, helpless, 4-day ordeal that ended this morning. Brownie, our black, barking cat (it’s true--ask Blue, he heard him over Vent) has passed on.He was a content, laid-back, happy cat who communicated more with his tail than some humans do with words. He was patient with our little kids, loved to sleep on my wife’s pillow at night and he liked pumpkin pie.
From the red dirt of Oklahoma where we took him in as an abused stray, to the white snows of Maine where he lived most of his life, he traveled far and lived well. He brought much happiness to our lives and, I believe, we brought him happiness as well.
Rest in peace, Brownie; you will be missed.
