Bring Out Your Dead

Devolve downs the Lich King

Devolve: Bring out your dead!

    [clang]

    Bring out your dead!

    [clang]

    Bring out your dead!

    [clang]

    Bring out your dead!

Fordring: Here’s one — nine copper.

Arthas: I’m not dead!

Devolve: What?

Fordring: Nothing — here’s your nine copper.

Arthas: I’m not dead!

Devolve: Here — he says he’s not dead!

Fordring: Yes, he is.

Arthas: I’m not!

Devolve: He isn’t.

Fordring: Well, he will be soon, he’s very ill.

Arthas: I’m getting better!

Fordring: No, you’re not — you’ll be stone dead in a moment.

Devolve: Oh, I can’t take him like that — it’s against regulations.

Arthas: I don’t want to go in the cart!

Fordring: Oh, don’t be such a baby.

Devolve: I can’t take him...

Arthas: I feel fine!

Fordring: Oh, do us a favor...

Devolve: I can’t.

Fordring: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? He won’t be long.

Devolve: Naaah, I got to go on to Hogger’s — they’ve lost nine today.

Fordring: Well, when is your next round?

Devolve: Thursday.

Arthas: I think I’ll go for a walk.

Fordring: You’re not fooling anyone y’know. Look, isn’t there something you can do?

Arthas: I feel happy... I feel happy.

Devolve: [whack]

Fordring: Ah, thanks very much.

Devolve: Not at all. See you on Thursday.

Fordring: Right.

Old News

I finally achieved Mountain o' Mounts on Ofn. Titled as “Old News” since it happened on Feb 9 — more than 2 weeks ago. Here’s a pic, enjoy. I’d be more excited, but I’ve about had it with this game and my “give a damn is busted”.

Barely related comment #1: A major pet peeve of mine is the numbheaded misuse of inch ( " ) and feet/foot marks ( ' ) in place of the correct characters, quotes ( “ ” ) and apostrophes ( ‘ ’ ). The death of the English language marches on...

Barely related comment #2: Did you know what the acronym OFN stands for? Neither did I. But after getting laughed at in a pug about Ofn’s name recently, I looked it up. What a surprise. Seems I was clairvoyant when choosing this name for my rogue. Old News, indeed.

The Baconstrip™ Maine Weather Report:
Currently 35° F and drizzly. While much of the USA has had record snow this year, Maine’s winter has sucked, and still sucks.

Nom nom nom

For some time now, though not with any great effort, I have considered making my own header image for this blog. After all, I am a designer by training and a web developer by experience—I should have one of my own, right? Well, as they say, “the cobbler’s children have no shoes”. There never seems to be enough time or motivation to do for yourself what you do for other people.

Thankfully, and impressively, this minor quandary has been resolved thanks to our team’s resident boomkin and excellent blogger via his recent visual guide to the Blood Wing in ICC 10. If you have been bitten in the Blood Queen fight, and are soon to be mind-controlled, yet you also have that nasty thing aoe damage thing she puts on you, you are in a “win-win” situation. Either you choose not to bite the next dps, resulting in you being mind-controlled and then running around one-shotting the healers (great theater!), or you continue to try and bite the next dps resulting in you aoe’ing him, and everyone you both run through, as he tries to get away from you. Both options are the height of comedy and epic raid wipes. I highly recommend some sort of run speed enchant, gem or talent for those who find themselves in such a situation. Of course, rogues should make sure that Sprint is available.

Nom nom nom ...

The Baconstrip™ Maine Weather Report:
Currently 31° F and sunny. While much of the country is getting lots of snow, Maine continues to disappoint with crappy, dirty, slowly disappearing, month-old snow.
